Resource Highlight: HR Toolkit

Human Resources Toolkit Logo

Join us this month as we explore one of our many membership benefits, the toolkit. Specifically, we’ll walk you through our newest one, the Human Resources toolkit.

What are they?

Toolkits are cultivated online resources around specific topics of interest for membership. We currently have Human Resources, Finance, and Board Toolkits.

Our Toolkits are updated annually by members of the Mission Capital Staff, based on experiences and benchmarking with other organizations. The opportunities or resources listed in them are developed organically, and are not part of a sponsorship program.

Who is it for?

Toolkits can be useful at any level of an organization, and we encourage our member organizations to share information about how to access them with everyone on their team.

How can I access them?

Toolkits are available to any organization with a current Mission Capital membership via Teachable. Primary contacts receive an email with instructions on how to access Teachable upon membership confirmation. If your organization has a membership, we encourage you to reach out to your primary contact to gain access.

How do they work?

Once you have logged in and selected the Toolkit you want to explore from the Membership page, feel free to explore the Getting Started section. This will guide you on how Teachable works and will answer some of our most frequently asked questions.

The HR Toolkit

Today, as we focus on how to support and develop staff in the new year, we wanted to highlight a bit of the curriculum in the Human Resource Toolkit.

This Toolkit pulls together multiple resources to address the foundational pieces all organizations need. It provides ideas on how to strengthen and enhance your human resources practice, and offers ways to embed diversity, equity and inclusion into your current policies and procedures.

Note that the curriculum is laid out in a variety of topics, with subtopics beneath. You can scroll through and skip around however you would like to.

If you click on a topic of interest, such as Wellbeing & Work-Life Balance, you will see the information below, which has links and PDFs from other organizations as well.
